TRANSFORMING TOURISM: MATTA AND MAH COLLABORATE TO DRIVE TOURISM GROWTH IN MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 AUGUST 2024 — The Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) and the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards enhancing cooperation and promoting growth within the tourism industry. This strategic partnership is expected to create many business opportunities for members of both Associations and contribute significantly to the growth of Malaysia’s tourism industry.

The MoU highlights key areas of collaboration between MATTA and MAH, including joint efforts on key projects such as the MATTA Fair, talent development initiatives, and promotional roadshows to support Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). Additionally, the partnership will focus on sharing information and initiatives related to sustainable tourism, facilitating member meetings, and supporting each other in national and international tourism events.
