KUALA LUMPUR, 5 SEPTEMBER 2024 – The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) is pleased to announce its 55th edition of the MATTA Fair, held from 6 - 8 September 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur. This MATTA Fair with the largest number of exhibitors’ booths promises to deliver great travel and holidays promotions and offerings for the visitors.
Covering an impressive 37,000 square meters across 8 halls throughout the whole venue, this MATTA Fair will feature 1,590 exhibition booths with 284 participating organisations. This includes 183 travel and tour agencies, 15 National Tourism Organisations, 9 State Tourism Offices, 44 hotels and resorts, 11 theme parks, 1 airline, and 21 other travel-related service providers. Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of travel and tourism promotions and deals to buy at this Fair.

To enhance the visitor experience, we are emphasizing the Trans Borneo travel packages, showcasing and promoting the diverse offerings by Borneo's exhibitors. Visitors can explore these variety of packages at the Domestic Hall in Level 1 and participate in our Discover Borneo: Explore, Win, and Fly campaign for a chance to win a roundtrip ticket to Borneo and a RM1,000 travel package. 1. MATTA Fair Ride & Reels: Capture Your Journey! Enjoy our free shuttle service from KL Sentral or Sunway Putra Mall to MITEC and back, capture your journey, and share it for a chance to win amazing prizes.

Buyers’ Contest: Spend RM100 or more at the Fair to join the Buyers’ Contest and stand a chance to win exciting prizes like flight tickets – business and economy class tickets, hotel stays, and the grand prize of a return business class flight from Kuala Lumpur to London, courtesy of Malaysia Airlines.

Visitors can also indulge in the Durian Fiesta during the three days of the Fair—MATTA’s first-ever Durian Fiesta! Enjoy a variety of durian delights, as well as sweet mangosteen and honey melon. The fruit party will be held at MITEC's Jogging Track from 10 am to 8 pm.
Additionally, we have Buskers performing throughout the Fair at Level 3, and do not miss our Blood Donation Drive on the 6 & 7 of September (Friday and Saturday), from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Ground Floor of MITEC. Daily talk shows and multicultural performances from STOs and NTOs will be featured at the stage at Level 1 & Level 3. Engage with representatives from various countries, learn about their unique offerings, and enjoy performances including Borneo promotions, mascots, Nabila Razali, KOLs sharing sessions about Taiwan, a wayang kulit show, lucky draws, and many more.

The MATTA Fair in September 2024 is well-known for offering affordable and value-for-money travel and holiday packages, and it will continue to maintain its premier travel fair status. All exhibitors, that are travel agents participating in the Fair are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Malaysia (MOTAC), guaranteeing that consumers can make their purchases with confidence. Visitors will have an abundance of options to choose from, as there are numerous new destinations and tour products and services available for them to choose and purchase for their travel and holidays.
The MATTA Fair offers free admission and is open from 10 am to 9 pm from Friday to Sunday. To ensure visitor convenience, parking is available at the South Entrance Basement in MITEC, MITI Basement, and MATRADE Open parking. We encourage the visitors to use our complimentary shuttle services from KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall to MITEC, and back.
