FATA is the umbrella body for national travel associations within the ASEAN region. FATA serves as a platform for members to discuss industry issues, address challenges and monitor trends and engage with other organizations at the regional level. It provides a sense of ASEAN community for individual travel agents operating in the ASEAN region.
In view of the fact that the population of ASEAN is over 600 million people, the potential of DOMESTIC ASEAN tourism opportunities is comparable to Europe, China or the United States and we can stand alone in the absence of international tourist traffic in the next 12 to 24 months post Covid-19.
The session will be moderated by former Secretary General, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, YBhg Tan Sri Dr Ong Hong Peng. Speakers’ line-up will comprise of senior representatives from the Ministry/NTOs as well as prominent international industry leaders together with the Board Members of FATA.
