In the afternoon, MATTA's Air Transportation Sub-Committee chaired by the Vice President Air Transportation, Pn Zarinah Hashim is organising a briefing by MAVCOM for members to know and understand the role of MAVCOM and consumers'' Rights as a consumer of aviation services.

Consumer Claims Tribunal Malaysia

The Tribunal For Consumer Claims Is An Independent Body Established Under Section 85, Part XII Of The Consumer Protection Act 1999. The Tribunal Operates Under The Ministry Of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives And Consumerism. The Primary Objective Of Establishing The Tribunal Is To Provide An Alternative Forum For Consumers To File Claims In A Simple, Inexpensive And Speedy Manner.

MAVCOM

The Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) is an independent body set up on 1 March 2016 under the Malaysian Aviation Commission Act 2015 to regulate economic and commercial matters relating to civil aviation. The Commission's goal is to promote a commercially viable, consumer-oriented and resilient aviation industry which supports the nation's economic growth.

Members are encouraged to share complaints received by their companies with the TTPM speaker and MAVCOM during the Q & A.
