Kindly be informed that MATTA is organising a training on A Manager’s Guide to Travel: Managing Key Business Risks on 20 February 2020 at Days Hotel & Suites, Kuala Lumpur.
This course titled “Managing Key Business Risks” provides practical handles for the participants to identify the key business risks affecting their travel business and adopt possible counter measures to overcome them and be future ready in the ever changing market conditions. The key business risk areas include strategic positioning, cash flow management and financing, revenue shortfall and increasing costs, new product development, talent management and technology trends.
Participants will be able to identify the key business risk areas affecting their own business and the possible measures to address these identified risks.
Given the change in the work force demographics the participants will understand the dynamics affecting their management of their team members.
They will also be more aware of how the global trends are impacting their current business model and forcing them to constantly review their strategic direction to be more future ready.

Dato’ Ngiam Foon obtained his accountancy qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He worked as a credit officer and a branch manager in a foreign bank in Malaysia before entering the travel industry. He is also a qualified HRDF trainer.
His track records included transforming existing companies like Mayflower and PST into profitable market leaders and helping a new company, Asia Experience, to become an award winning inbound tour operator. He has also worked in a start-up company involving projects with Alibaba travel marketplace and with a China listed Sports Company in a Belt & Road Initiative marathon project.
He is currently helping a local travel company in its transformation journey as its Chief Transformation Officer.
