MATTA Islamic Tourism Expo received a tremendous support by over 270 participants comprising MATTA members, international travel agents, guests and media. The event was held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) Kuala Lumpur on 18 June 2019.
The MATTA Islamic Travel Expo was graced by Deputy Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, YB. Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar bin Wan Chik. Also present were Senior Deputy Director, Tourism Malaysia, YBrs Tuan Mohamad Taib Ibrahim and Director of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Office, YBrs Encik Ahmad Alsraf Ahmad Mokhtar.
The objective of B2B program is to promote Umrah travel to Saudi Arabia through networking, marketing, and promotion activities between travel agents of both countries. It is also to improve and provide more business opportunities, build relationships and partnership among agents. Hence, participants could share knowledge and expertise, and contribute to economic growth of the tourism industry in Malaysia and Middle East country.
