KUALA LUMPUR : Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) President Datuk Hj Hamzah Rahmat is elated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Association Of The Indonesian Tours & Travel Agencies at PWTC Kuala Lumpur this morning.
Hamzah said “The MOU formalizes the close cooperation that already exists between our two major travel associations in ASEAN. It is aptly entitled: The Development Of Framework For Cooperation.”
“The framework ensures that all parties are on the same page and work towards the common goals, and that is to promote inbound travel to Malaysia and Indonesia, benefitting the businesses of MATTA and ASITA members, and by extension to the peoples of Malaysia and Indonesia.”
“Such official partnership is in line with the spirit of ASEAN Community to foster closer collaboration with countries in this region. A formal agreement facilitates communication, networking, marketing and promotional activities and supports efforts to draw the targeted number of visitors to Malaysia and Indonesia.”
“I am delighted that Mr. H. Asnawi Bahar, who is the President of the Association Of The Indonesian Tours & Travel Agencies, is signing this MOU with me today. We have been working together and will continue to do so for many years to come”, concluded Hamzah.
